In-Line Revrot™ Metal Treatment Systems
The complete Revrot™ In-line Metal Treatment System is a flow-through back-mix reactor that uses one or more Revrot™ drives. Molten aluminum flowing from the holding furnace is processed through the metal treatment chamber, and then passes through an in-line filter to the casting unit. Because an in-line metal treatment system may contain 1,200 to 5,000 pounds of aluminum that must be maintained molten during caster downtime, Apogee BSPP Heating Systems are used to provide the heat requirement via an efficient, low melt loss electrical resistance method.
Apogee Rod Feeder
The Apogee Rod Feeder introduces Master Alloy directly to the melt in a controlled and metered fashion. This unit is available in single or dual strand feeds that are independently controlled and both forward and reversible. Closed loop PID control provides regulated speed and alarming for depleted stocks. The Apogee Rod Feeder can also be fitted with a discrete cutting mechanism if continuous feed into the melt is not practical.
